The Spud Drive-InDriggs, Idaho
The spud has been a local fixture in Driggs Idaho since it first opened its doors in 1953 as a “state of the art” drive-in theater. During the next 56 years not all that much changed, including the menu at the snack bar. That was until Poppa Presents realized its potential to become what the greater Teton region area greatly needed, an outdoor music venue. Starting in 2009 with Darkstar and Keller Williams it has transformed into a 4000 person outdoor venue with plenty of onsite camping. This summer we continue this tradition with Widespread Panic, The Rhythm Devils and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.

The Pink Garter Theater
Jackson, Wyoming
The Pink Garter Theatre was started in 1959 by Paula Jeffries, a richly flamboyant woman described by one source as “the most beautiful ugly woman I’ve ever met in my life.” Since it was built, the theater hosted Western-style plays to attract tourists during the summer, while community theater and events filled it during the off-season and wintertime. The building has been owned by local investment groups, different Utah politicians and a New York investment group, among others, since it opened. Then it lay dormant for ten years until a theatre company started up and ran for two years from 2007 to 2008. After they went bust it became the home to the movie “Jackson Hole to the Max” in 2009. Once the hype had faded Poppa Presents stepped in and was pivotal in getting a liquor license for the venue and finally turning it into a live music venue for downtown Jackson. So come down and see what everyone is talking about with our lineup of shows this summer.

| Singing with a passion and fervor directly influenced by the classic soul heroes, JJ Grey has written and recorded five albums of original songs steeped in the rhythm & blues, rock, and country soul of his native backwoods home outside Jacksonville, Florida. Grey comes from a long tradition of Southern storytellers and, in that spirit, he fills his songs with details that are at once vivid, personal and universal. After a decade of hard touring, he still spends eight months of the year on the road, bringing his music to a loyal, ever-growing, worldwide fanbase. |
